When Alex Chilton passed away a year and a half ago,
I spent a good month rediscovering his music.
I have done numerous cover versions of this song, but have been inspired to release this version due to a chance meeting of someone in Wellington, New Zealand who shared a mutual passion for Alex Chilton's music.
His songs are classic, timeless, and have reached many a person across continents and now hemispheres.
This release is dedicated to the memory of Rene Weissange, a beloved co-worker of mine, who like Alex Chilton, passed on too soon in life...
